The cabins at River Wilderness are cozy and inviting, with flat-screen TVs and fully equipped kitchens. It felt like a home away from home, and we loved having the option to cook our own meals. The air conditioning and balcony added a nice touch to our stay.
Some of the units had smaller balconies or patios than others, but that's just my personal preference.

Our family had an incredible time exploring the breathtaking beauty of the Everglades, right on our doorstep. We enjoyed a variety of activities together, including hiking, bird-watching, and even canoeing. The kids absolutely loved spotting alligator nests and watching the colorful wildlife. Sharing this experience with our loved ones made it even more memorable. We also appreciated the private and peaceful atmosphere, only being surrounded by other families. It felt like our own little slice of paradise, where we could fully immerse ourselves in nature and create lasting memories.
For dads, it would be great if there were more playground facilities available for children.

We were delighted with the beautiful location of the property, situated on a serene lake. the screened-in back porch provided a perfect spot to relax and admire the stunning views. the property was conveniently located near a small supermarket and town, allowing for easy access to amenities.
We did encounter some disappointment when we discovered stains on the sofa bed mattress upon arrival. Despite the issue being resolved the following morning, it was an inconvenience that affected our initial impression of the accommodation.

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decor of the cabins at River Wilderness! The rustic feel and delightful touches made me feel right at home. The hotel's general areas were also very accessible for senior people like myself, with easy navigation and comfortable seating areas. It was such a joy to relax and unwind in such a beautifully decorated space!
I only wish the children working there could have provided a bit more assistance in terms of activities specifically tailored for senior people. A few more options for gentle exercise or relaxation would have made my vacation even better.

The location was great, right by the water. The room was huge and had everything we needed. The screened porches were a nice touch to keep the bugs away. And the natural beauty around was amazing!
The decor was old-fashioned and outdated. The furnishings were old and worn out.

I had a wonderful stay at a great base for exploring the Everglades. The location was perfect, with everything I needed nearby. The room was huge and even though the decor was a little dated, it was clean and comfortable. I loved the screened porches that kept the bugs away, although I still needed some spray. But hey, you're in the Everglades! The natural beauty around was breathtaking and I didn't spend much time in the room anyways. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to explore the Everglades.
